13 inch Lady Kennicott

Hello, this doll is very lovely indeed. She wears  a dress of 18th century silk in rose and tan with stripes of brown green and very find gold.  Her underskirt is a khaki colored green which is the same color green as in the dress fabric. She wears a stomacher of antique rose with gold thread throughout the floral pattern. I have trimmed the dress in a fabulous antique french trim, the pictures cannot begin to do it justice. So beautiful. She has matching shoes,  enameled eyes, and human hair hand sewn wig. All the details are here to make her a wonderful addition to your collection.  She stands on her own here in the pictures  so you can get the full effect of her without the distraction and added height of the doll stand however she has a stand for display. I named her Lady Kennicott after one of the very first settlers here in the area where I live. As I grew up we  went to school with children who were his descendants.  The house he built in 1856 is a Historic landmark called the Grove mansion http://www.glenviewparks.org/The-Grove/The-Grove.htm. It is a place of numerous reenactments. while the house and Dr. John Kennicott are 19th century this Lady surely could represent an even earlier descendant of his.
