Lady Madelinea stunning 14 inches tall , She wears a open robe gown of antique embroidered silk Brocade, which falls and drapes beautifully. Her dress is a tan silk embroidered in a complimentary green which is found in the open robe fabric. I lined the dress with a green silk of the same color. I crochet the gold thread trim form antique gold metallic thread . her bonnet and sleeve ruffles are made from antique fabric and trim as well. the cuffs of her sleeves has a hand crocheted single chain embellishment. She has enameled eyes and her body is made as the original dolls were. I love this doll she has a lovely face and a strong presence. the photos do not do her justice. This is Elly. She is 10 inches tall and has one of the sweetest faces. I kept her very simple a cotton floral dress in soft tan and small roses. with a matching ribbon trim. red silk shoes. She is really so lovely in person and has a perfect a very fine crackle finish it just needs to be seen up close. I also think she has the perfect weight when held.

This doll is so pretty. She has all the right stuff a lovely antique cotton dress which I made with an English cut back meaning this dress is all one piece made from an original pattern. I made her ruffles that trim her sleeves from the same fabric. the petticoat is made from cotton also and has a quilted pattern that was so fitting because often the petticoats of this period were quilted. I made the cord trim around her stomacher and neck line, and also her sleeves. she has a hand sewn human hair wig her bonnet is made from a fine lawn and trimmed with a cord trim I made from the dress fabric. And under it all is a hand sewn hooped petticoat or as some call it a pannier. it has three hoops to maintained the 18th century dress shape. she has a lovely pair of matching shoes hand sewn with leather soles. she has my signature hand fired enameled eyes. A unique feature her arms are hinged to bend at the elbows making her so perfect to pose. she is featured in my ad in the Antiques Doll Collector Magazines December issue. I am very pleased with Pollyanna . I know she wont be here long.

Hello this is Patty my newest bedpost doll wearing an empire dress of blue silk and an apron and bonnet made of vintage fabric. she has a very charming look. she has undies too although her clothes are sewn on and do not come off I have included pictures here of her boned corset, and slip. Patty is so very appealing aged enough to give the appearance of being old but showing that if so she was loved and cared for. The perfect size at 10.5 inches tall just right for a child’s hands .

Only four inches tall, so buy more than one every one is different, and painted with a great attention to detail while maintaining that Folk Art look all are signed one of a kind. 14.5 inches tall this doll is stunning, a serene expression on her face and soft curls of auburn hair. She is really lovely. Her open robe gown of 18th century silk in a mauve tone with a lighter stripe running through it, and the most beautifully done embroidery . Whats amazing is that it is in such good scale to the size of the doll. She has complete under garments a sleeveless bodice and petticoat of linen, and a green silk dress , her silk dress has an antique french embroidered tulle over it (FABULOUS!!) and 12 buttons that I covered in the same green silk. Her trim and sleeve ruffle are also made from the green silk of the dress. her shoes are really so wonderful approximately ! inch long and so much detail I made them from the same green silk as the dress , not quite a mule but close they slip on with a low side they have a leather sole with a slight heal, all hand stitched, a lovely bow of silk ribbon with a fine gold thread running trough it. Because the robe fabric is so old it does have some small tears of wear but I lined it with the same green silk as the dress for stability. As with all my English wooden dolls, Lady Shannon has my hand fired enameled eyes a turned torso, and she bends at the hip and knees as the original antique Wooden dolls do. She has a lovely look and feel when held , I am very pleased with her.

Another new doll she is dressed in a very nice antique cotton paisley print, this fabric was so great to work with it did just what I wanted it to do, and I love the print. A faded red color with tan flowers in the background. She wears little red silk shoes. and has a shepherdess hat of the same material as the dress. She is made as the original English wooden dolls were she has my hand fired enameled eyes, a turned torso and bends at the hips and knees. Her hand sewn human hair wig is loosely done and even has some small ringlets off the back. I am very pleased with her and even though I strive to take the best images I can she is still so much better in person. Another one of my favorites . Hello everybody this is my newest doll her name is Juliana. She is 10.5 inches tall. she is wearing a dress made from period antique fabrics and trims. Here dress is made from a lovely yellow and mauve striped silk with a very fine black stripe,her petticoats are made of a wonderful combination of lace trims sewn together the piece was taken from an actual antique blouse so small as the lady”s then were very petite. her wooden shoes are hand carved and fit perfectly. I painted them with a green color that looks silky and trimmed them with a fine gold line, a gold bow adorns the top of the shoe. She is made as the original dolls were, and has my hand fired enameled eyes, hand sewn human hair wig, and is articulated as the original dolls were bending at the hips and knees with a wonderful aged patina . All the work here is done by me I make the enameled eyes, do all the carving and dressing of the doll . This doll is fully articulated carved completely from Ebony wood, with enameled eyes. The only paint I applied was to her cheeks, her lips and her red shoes. She is wearing an Empire style silk dress with a cotton gauze overdress. a petticoat of the same gauze. A turban made of the same silk and adorned with feathers as was typical of the period. (thank you “Snow” my white parakeet for the feather donation, it’s OK he was done with them)There is an incredible amount of work involved in making this type of doll . The antique dolls of this type are German and have been called bust line dolls. All of the moving parts carved to create the mechanical movements are intricate and precise. Ebony wood is extremely dense and hard, making it a carvers nightmare if you don’t have tools as sharp as a surgeons. So constant sharpening is necessary . Needless to say this was a labor of love as well as time consuming taking the better part of the summer to complete. This doll has a wonderful weight when held solid but not heavy. a charming sweet expression which is some time hard to show on my black dolls in a photograph.
